In 2024, I was incredibly honored to be chosen as one of the fellows for the esteemed international residency, One Beat Virtual, 4. Through this unique opportunity, I connected virtually with fellow musicians from diverse corners of the globe, coming together under the thematic umbrella of Assemblies. This experience provided me with a profound exploration of my craft as a producer and reignited my passion for collaborative songwriting.
Participating in One Beat Virtual 4 marked a significant milestone for me, as it was my inaugural music residency. One Beat stands as the nexus for the musical visionaries of the 21st century—a platform where boundary-pushing musicians converge to catalyze innovative projects aimed at fostering positive change within local and global communities. Through this residency, I not only expanded my creative horizons but also engaged in the transformative power of music as a tool for social entrepreneurship.
During the residency, we were assigned a variety of creative tasks. Featured here is a pencil drawing by Tshepiso Moropa, which I included in my "dream selfie" submission. One aspect I particularly cherished about the One Beat Virtual Fellowship was how it invigorated all my creative faculties. I truly felt immersed in the world of audiovisual artistry throughout the program.
