I was at home in Cape Town when the news of the passing of Archbishop Desmond Tutu broke out, it was on the 26th of December 2021. I had always hoped that one day I could by some chance meet the Arch through work or some divine path connection. But alas, here we were with the news heavy in the air. I kept close attention to the details surrounding his passing and any details about paying your last respect to him.
A memorial was held on the 29th of December at the Cape Town City Hall. I attended and below are scenes from that Thursday evening, the only real media access I had was with everyone else on the parade which is always cool.

29 December 2021: A memorial was being held in honor of the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu. This was made on my way to Greenmarket Square where it was being held in the CBD. The image is of a mural of both the late Arch and Winnie Mandela.
